I’ve been following the election results as much as I can. RTÉ did a good job of providing content via their website. The flash on their page gave a nice view of party progress and is a great example of how to use Flash properly. They had their usual radio streams and added TV news programs for the election. Although I couldn’t get connected earlier last night I was able to get the TV stream later on and this morning.
I’m disappointed that the Fine Gael – Labour coalition proposal didn’t come to fruition but can take heart from seeing that McDowell lost his seat. I’m actually a little disappointed that he has retired from politics as he did have some useful contributions. However, I’ll remember his draconian Criminial Justice Bill that he shoved through.
